  • We picked strawberries ~

Up from the grocery store!  They were having a really good sale. =) We were going to make jam, but instead decided to just slice and freeze them.  That way we’ll have strawberries to use in muffins, pancakes, smoothies….etc.

In other news, Sophia underwent multiple surgeries at the end of last week.  I think around 13 or so.  Not exactly sure what the surgery was for, we were just told she needed it….BAD…..or she was going to die!

Her doctor and nurse were able to perform the procedures using only a piece of bark and NO anesthesia.  She was placed on a pool part box in the comfort of her own backyard.  The whole thing went so well.  We were just amazed.

And what a quick and miraculous recovery, she was able to play on her swing set and run through the sprinkler just minutes after the surgery.  What a medical staff!

Last week Wednesday, the high temperature was 95 degrees, today, it is 65 degrees! Brrrrr!!!  Where is summer?

Well, hope you have a great day!

  • mmmm strawberries are so yummy. Your kids are so cute! Children keep life so interesting!!

  • I would like to know where summer is too, we are going on week 3 of rain! boo:(

  • Yum the strawberries look good.  I got a whole bunch of bing cherries given to me so I have been pitting and freezing cherries.  I have always wanted to make jam but never have.

I love the imagination of kids – they always amaze and delight me.  Love the pictures and story.

  • Yum, the strawberries sound good! They are my favorite.

I am glad that Sophia’s surgeries went well.

    Have a great day!

  • So, you gave me a scare! Then I scrolled a bit down and realized you were being cute and funny! Hmm, 95o…that’s what we have when the clouds clear away. Summer began late for us and I am appreciating the warmth along with the occasional rain from the piled up shaving cream clouds. Strawberries are extra yummy right now, too! I made Strawberry fluff out of jello, cream cheese, marshmallow creme and cool whip and, of course, strawberries! It’s a Way bad dessert as far as calories go, but hey. I figure I can walk it off.  Love, GAil
