Good Morning Spring Monday. I think…?
Today we woke up to White Outside.
Birds whistling a Chilly tune from the branches of my Sugar Maple.
Green Baby Buds covered in snow.
Steaming Coffee and Warm Slippers. Simple Pleasures.
Jammied and snuggled warm under cozy blankets.
Why get dressed early on a day like today? =)Eating Cheerios, but dreaming of the Biscuits and Gravy we had yesterday morning…..
Chef Sam was in the kitchen with Jeff and I.
He made biscuits with Mom, then…….

…..helped his Dad make the gravy.
Did I ever mention that my husband is a great cook? He is!
Jeff made omelets to go along.
It was a fine breakfast.
What made it finer…..we were all here together.
(Jeff’s mom was here too. She came up and spent the night with us.
I am not allowed to post breakfast pictures of her.
I love Sundays for that reason…I love when we’re all home!
Mondays have me missing Jeff. We’re almost done with school for the day.
This post has been one of those 10 minutes here, 5 minutes there….
Written in between Laundry and Math Lessons and the Phone Ringing and Juice Spilling…etc.
Time to get lunch on the table now that I just finished writing about yesterdays’ breakfast! =)Have a Lovely Day.

That breakfast looks so yummy! Just got done making some bread myself and between the smell of it and your pictures, I’m hungry!
Hard to imagine snow on this day where it’s in the 80′s at the moment. I heard this old lady saying an old wives tale for Texas, “if it thunders in Feb, it will freeze in April”. I have no idea if it’s true but it did thunder in Feb, so I guess we’ll see what happens.
Yep, snow in april! gotta love it! we woke up to a couple inches. kids are having a blast with the four wheeler and pulling sleds.Your breakfast looks yummy!
Biscuits and gravy sounds yum! And I thought the groundhog saw his shadow???! Man!
Those biscuits look delicious! Looks like Sam is following in his daddy’s footsteps
I like the pictures of the tender green leafs peeking out from the snowflakes and ice. Looks like a nice day to stay snuggled up inside
ohhhh, I love big breakfasts. It’s nice to have a little kitchen help now and then!!
I am glad the snow passed us by – not sure I can go back after the wonderful spring weather we have been having. Rainy lately…but still nice. The biscuits look scrumptious.
Deares Liz, Your posts always bring me a smile. Love your pictures. Especially the coffee, warm slippers and jammies one.
My favorite way to start a cold chilly morning. Wish we’d brought in some wood last night, adding a fire would be cozy. Hope you have a wonderful week.
I tried to post on my xanga and I don’t know what I did, but its not there
, will try again. I still haven’t figured out how to post pictures. Let ya know when I do.
God Be with you dearest Liz,
Cindy
Such a cozy post. Breakfast looks yummy…and yes, we grandma’s don’t look so photogenic in the mornings though I am happy to report that my hubby still thinks I am cute.
My boy is still getting well from a bad cough/cold, but has made an appearance today ( he has been holed up in his room this weekend), so I hope the worst is past!
We are gray and overcast today, but still in the 60′s. We had a heat spell last week up into the 80′s! I was concerned that all our green hills were drying out already! Your frosted greenery looks pretty to me…is it melting away?
Snow????!!!!!! Oh no!!!! At least you know it won’t last long!
i love those kind of days. :]
and i really like the first two pictures of the snow.
Mmm…Nothing as good as gravy and biscuits! Growing up my mom would fry chicken and make gravy and biscuits for supper. It was one of my fave suppers. My posts are written with lots ot start/stop too. Start typing, stop to help with a math problem, where was I? lol
Yep, we got the snow here too.
I never make biscuits and gravy because I am the only one in my family who likes them! (Sigh) When we go out somewhere for breakfast, that’s usually something I order though! : ) Yours look delicious! Glad you had a good weekend.
What’s with the snow? Looks pretty anyway. Looks so warm, cozy and inviting at your house. I could go for some biscuits and gravy.
No WAY! Snow?! You poor guys!! But you sure do make it look cozy with all the coffee and slippers and jammies…
And talk of yummy breakfasts and family times and… yes, it sounds lovely. And with your crazy changing weather, who knows, maybe you’ll have 60′ tomorrow?
that is so relaxing to see your page when I come here. the photos the home life., the music..it all just makes me want to grab a cup of cocoa and snuggle up and remember my parents and all those things we use to do, which from the looks you do with your kids. I also remember doing all that with my kids but then they grew up and it’s hard to get us all together any more. With one starting life with her new apartment, another in the Air Force… sigh. Treasure these days., but I already see that you do.
You make winter-ish days seem so cozy and fun. But dang it, I’m STILL ready for some really warm weather. They are calling for snow AGAIN here and I am so hoping it misses us. I need some 70 degree days now!
this such a cozy warm fuzzy post! love it liz…and you.
I’m so glad to get to be able to read your Xanga now that I am back home!! Xanga isn’t available up at school, so I miss reading your blog!
Stephanie
Yum, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and yours looks wonderful! What’s your biscuit recipe? i’ve never mastered biscuits, so “Mary B’s” I love you!
