We WERE in the home stretch.
Painting. the trim. the walls. the hallway.
That was all that needed to happen to complete this one-week-turned-four-project.A new window hangs in our dining room. A little bit of trim underneath needed to be taken off the wall.
The dad said “Take off the trim under the window.”
The son heard “Take the trim off around the whole entire dining room.”The dad went outside to the garage to do a little work. The son worked very hard in the dining room.
a little while later when the dad came back inside…..well, you can just imagine. a big shock for both.
{and for the mom who loved her trim!}Thankfully we have a live-in carpenter and a garage full of material.
and so…….the project continues.
I can’t wait for it all to be finished. I’m excited.
To those on the east coast…we’ve been praying for you and your families.
What a mess to deal with. I feel guilty that I complained about my house being out of order this morning…at least I have one!
So much to be thankful for.Happy Tuesday to you.

and yes and amen on praying for the east coasters. been thinking of them all day. feeling the same.. guilty over any complaints!
Thank you SO much for praying, I really felt the Lord’s protection for us personally, but of course we still need to pray for those who were hit harder!
That room is going to look GORGEOUS!
The mix up will be a good story someday.
oh no! ” the dad said…the son heard…”
we’ve had that same problem at times!
lsimyhbiwfefmtlol.
what i can see is looking GREAT!
well, that’s the way it goes.
Maybe it goes faster the second time around??
It’s gonna look fabulous. I love it.
o dear! that is kind of funny though! bless that son’s hardworking soul. and, that patient father too!
yes, we are so very blessed here where we are too. was just looking at endless pictures of the devastation….so many people displaced.
makes me wonder what God is calling our country to…..
oh my goodness, that made me laugh out loud. a shock for both, indeed!
poor hard-working son, poor everyone!
what a pretty PRETTY dining room. the ceiling is just gorgeous too, and the panels on the walls… my husband is a trim man, so he’s taugh me to notice all things trim.
and i know… i know so many people on the east coast and have been calling my family non-stop…
xoxo
What a beautiful project! The crossed wires communication will be a good lesson learned, I guess! I love the lights tucked into the corners in the ceiling! very, VERY clever! I’m excited for you! It IS a blessing and any complaining is understandable, even when so many others now have no home. It’s where we are, in the moment, in our everyday life. We swing right back around to feeling so deeply for those people who’ve lost everything. And tomorrow, somebody’s mom will die and we’ll throw another load of clothes into the washing machine. And then grieve for the one in pain. Swing back and forth and back and forth through these times. Jesus understands.
lol, what a project! Poor thing! The son is not going to live that one down any time soon
