  • He was missing for an hour….

    ..lost somewhere in the kitchen.
I felt him crawling on me a few times….I think.

{My camera shrunk him….he was Gigantic in real life.
    WITH stripes on his back!)

I had the boys search the floor, the shelves, the chair…he had to be somewhere.
and then….I saw him….sneaking away and Squish! Sam took care of the situation. :)

It’s been raining all afternoon. So cozy to be inside.
I baked muffins and bread and roasted golden beets for our arugula salad.

The girls stayed in their pajamas until late morning.

We learned about the state of Maryland while we ate banana muffins.
It was named after Queen Mary in 1634.

We’re going on a trip out east. We leave next week.
I spent hours today organizing clothes in closets and in our attic.
I wanted everyone packed by tonight….Ha! I don’t see this happening.

Little eggs from chickens just starting to lay.
I fit five in my hand…they are so cute.

and that about wraps up the day around here.

  • I tell you, you always come up with the most compelling titles ever and it’s one that always makes it so you wanna hear what you wrote or what happened.  Yeah, I wish I had your skill :)
That guy looks like the nice big garden spiders we have down here.
Yeah it’s been raining here all afternoon, guess it’s the cold front that’s sweeping the US.  I love the rain but not the dreariness of it.  Why can’t it rain with the sun shining? :)

  • ewww, I don’t like big spiders!  This is the time of year the garden spiders are huge.  I know they are harmless, but the build these huge webs that get in the way, and ugggg, if you accidentally run into one!  Yay, for boys that deal with spiders!

The cozy day sounds so nice!

  •   Spiders and any kinds of bugs in the house are terrible!! We live in an area where there are roaches, and UGH!! They are terrible!!  Makes me get a shiver all over just thinking about it!
