  • Can it really be?

    Thursday already?

You know those weeks where you wonder where the time went?
This is one of those weeks. and I’m wondering.

    It’s been a week of…
    snow days (two of them)
    cousins coming over to play
    lollipops
    shamrock shakes
(it’s been many years since I’ve had one…they tasted much better as a teenager! bleh!)

    {my little dolly of a niece}

    tons of laundry
    spinach salads with strawberries
    cleaning house
    lots of piano playing
    cookie baking
    school

    flowers from my love

and the best part of the week?

    My brand spanking new nephew…
    Hudson James

Aaaaaand all I have is a bad iphone pic!
(He asked if I could take him home, his mom said No, such a mean sister I have….
that’s why he looks a little fussy in the picture ;)

He’s so tiny and so cute and smells so good.

Jeff is taking me out on a date tomorrow.
I have NO idea what we are doing, where we are going and he’s giving me no clues except…
My mom has the kids, I have to leave with him to go to work in the morning and I need to dress casual.

I’m not a person who can handle surprises…I’ve been trying to snoop, but it’s not working.
    I’m going crazy. I’m getting excited. I can’t wait!

    Happy Thursday.

  • Congrats on your adorable new nephew!  How fun to snuggle a newborn, so precious! Beautiful flowers, what a good man!
Wow can’t believe its Shamrock shake time of year already.  I think I had one a few years ago and have since watched too many food documentaries on Netflix to try another one :)

Happy Thursday and have a wonderful weekend!

  • I can’t wait to read about what your date turned out to be! I can imagine the beautiful newborn scent of that beautiful baby boy.

  • Your niece is so pretty.  Babies are all sweet.  Enjoy your surprise date.

  • Ooohhh, how fun to spend the day with the husband!!  :)  At least he gave you a clue what to wear – don’t wanna show up someplace totally underdressed, or overdressed for the day ;)  I’m usually ok with surprises if I know what I should wear.

I make a lot of spinach strawberry smoothies – since my kids won’t eat salad, I sneak it in ;)  I also add other fruits and yogurt to hide the spinach.Little babies are so fun to hold – yay for you!

  • awww. welcome sweet baby hudson! how fun. and he’s a lucky little guy too. such a great family.
your date sounds wonderful. ENJOY! that. your man. and the weekend ahead!

  •   I hope you 2 have a wonderful time together, how romantic!

What a blessing to have a new nephew!

My favorite picture is the one of the flowers, I looked at it for a while….so sweet and beautiful!  I love those kinds of roses.

  • @Cluesy -  I know what you mean! After all the documentaries I’ve watched too, I should have known better. ;)

  • @wj3km - We do the same thing, spinach in smoothies. You can’t even taste it!  We do peanut butter, banana, yogurt, almond (or coconut milk) and spinach a lot…they are so good.

  • Hope you have a fun date!  I love the idea of a surprise, but when it comes down to it I’m like a mad detective determined to uncover the mystery.  Steve thinks I’m crazy; I’d rather call it curious. ;)

  • Congratulations on the the arrival of your nephew, so cute!

And yeah, sometimes time do fly by quite unexpectedly; amazing!

And the date sounds like it’s going to be such an adventure =D

    Have a happy weekend!

  • Such a sweet little nephew.  I so know what you mean.  The kids found me a pretty willing baby sitter when they were here!

I am excited to find out about your surprise date!

The snow actually looks good.  Am I spoiled.  Sorry, I love the spring weather we have been having, just today it was 82, and that is spoiling my spring flowers.  We typically have spring Feb.and March her in CA.

  • I’ve never had a shamrock shake.  It’s not sounding like I missed a lot, maybe?
Strawberry spinach salad is SO yummy!  We’ve been having it a lots lately.
What a cute niece and nephew. So we’re getting a different story on the pic than from instagram.  I’m liking the first story better :P
Sounds like an awesome date!  I love surprises!  You’ll have to fill us in with the details when you get back :)
    Happy Weekend to you!
