A Small Break.
I didn’t intend to take a little break, but I did. I’m here now. =)
Our weekend was busy.fun.relaxing.family.cousins.bike riding.basketball in the driveway.
birthday party.church.walks.visiting.front porch sitting.There was sunshine. There was rain.
There was sleeping in.a cozy Saturday morning thunderstorm.windows open.
There was taco salad.smoothies.iced passion tea.ice cream cake.watermelon.
There were flags to honor our soldiers.all the men and women and families who serve our nation.
We are officially on summer break.
Now that the pressure is off, I find myself pulling out our nature books.
Looking through, finding things to do with the kids.Thoughts are funny that way.
Learning and teaching seems a lot more appealing since we don’t HAVE to do it. Ha.I have laundry to put on the line.
The boys cleaned our garage this morning. (without even being asked!)
The house has a breeze blowing through.
Birds are chirping.
The day couldn’t be more beautiful. Sunny. 70 degrees.

Your weekend sounds absolutely lovely! Glad you had a good time. And yay for being done with school for the year. Our boys have 2 more days after today!
Happy sunshiny days! I know what you mean about schooling. Now that we are wrapping up and David is graduating in a couple weeks, I have a few more things to share We always joked that if they would only homeschool til 30 we might touch SOME of the subjects we wanted to!
Yay for boys who clean without asking!! Your girls are so, so very darling! That taco salad looks great, I love taco salad but no one else in my house does so I rarely (never) make it. Enjoy your summer break

Love… bring on the fun lazy days of summer. I am enjoying the cooler temps this week instead of the high humid 90′s we had over the weekend.
