For Girls ~ The Flicka, Ricka and Dicka series by Maj Lindman
For Boys ~ The Snip, Snap and Snur series by Maj LindmanSweet, wholesome stories written in the 1950′s. There are quite a few books in each series.
All are Fantastic!

My sister ordered these books for my girls – we LOVE them. Sweet and classic. I remember reading them in the school library when I was small.
Oh, I forgot all about those books! I always love a good book recommendation, and especially those I remember as a kid! I’ll have to check those out!

and your girls really ARE the prettiest- wow.
on that pic of them in bed, laila said, “I love their bed. i want it to be our bed.” ha. she has a cozy bed herself, so i don’t pity her.
i have to tell you- i was struck with all your warm tones, different textures, and general coziness in your home and life. and i so LOVE it! it made me all happy and inspired. i also really like how you focus on Jeff and you and family values. it is such a rare and precious thing to see.
oh! and i have to tell you! my friend saw 3 of the OLD flicka, ricka, dicka books at a thrift store- and she *almost* bought them for me. later, i saw they sell for over a $100 on amazon. made me sick. sick!

I think I may have staged a photo once regarding something that never happened but I can’t remember what it was now.
this isn’t looking hurried at all. i’m only mentioning that because i’ve heard of parents struggling at bedtime. and feeling selfish or something.
but anyway. cozy pic, staged or not. i love it.

We LOVED Flicka, Ricka and Dicka books when we were young. I should see if the library has the boy Snip, Snap, Snur series. Thanks for reminding me.
